What a weekend this has been! Glorious weather, new local discoveries and food and wine overdose at the epic Good Food and Wine Show held at the Brisbane Convention centre (more on that to come very soon). Not only that but what was intended to be a quick coffee run to Pablo earlier today turned into a morning of meandering the pop-up Brisbane Vintage & Designer Markets at Merthyr Village, New Farm.
Handmade, preloved and locally designed and crafted creations were in abundance. One off pieces and originals are a weakness of mine and I simply couldn’t resist a trip or two to the conveniently located ATM…
What I bought…
A fabulous original artwork entitled “NO THANKS” from Tiffany Atkin‘s stall (a designer and illustrator whose work I have been admiring for a while now as striking pieces are constantly on display inside Pablo Cafe).
A delicate lace statement necklace original from designer Dominique Jones, the clever cookie behind Lil’ Something.
And a fabulous pre-loved Backstage skirt that I picked up for an absolute bargain price of $10! A perfect addition to my corporate wardrobe that’ll transition nicely from work to afterwork drinks (…yep purchase justified).
It was a wonderful Sunday morning surprise and just another reason why I love where I live. Hope you all had a lovely Sunday too!
