With 2013 drawing to a close today I have been doing a lot of reflecting. As you may have noticed December was a quiet month on this little blog of mine due to an increasing list of other commitments (illness didn’t help either!), which forced me to take a step back and switch off for a little while. I learnt to enjoy the little things, de-stress and reprioritise. With a refreshed outlook and renewed energy, I’m ready to tackle 2014.
Looking back I can honestly say that 2013 was seriously fulfilling year – I have learnt so much and feel I have finally achieved some longstanding goals. I started a new (dream) job, created a blog, travelled, shopped, ate and tried a truckload of new things. I found a passion for fitness, rekindled my love of art and design, discovered an addiction to natural peanut butter, foie gras and kangaroo burgers and dabbled in learning French. I’m grateful for new friends, old friends and my wonderful family (who are my incredible support network and unrivalled travel buddies). I love the city I now call home as well as all the doors it has opened, the friends made along the way and the opportunities that lie ahead.
So, as I gear myself for an epic 2014 here are my top 5 reasons to be thankful for the year that has been…
Farewell 2013, hello new year!
What are you thankful for?
